Rebranding Myself with the Power of AI
After taking Jenna Soard’s 3-day branding workshop, I filled out a brand workbook and learned how to use ChatGPT to my advantage as a brand designer. Inputting answers to specific questions about who I am, who my target audience is, what problems I’m trying to solve, what my artistic and fashion-related interests are, I created three distinct brand looks for my own personal brands. We used an AI quiz to find out our brand archetype based off of Carl Jung’s work, and another AI quiz to determine three different visual themes for our brand. After spitting out very thorough descriptions of each theme, I had it create a “vibe check” that would serve as the visual basis for my mood board. I chose to move forward with all three of the options to really challenge myself, and show the variety of my personal branding. ChatGPT included lists of key search words, so I used them to create my own mood boards in Pinterest. Then we used another AI tool to create logos for ourselves. I wasn’t really liking my options so I went back to ChatGPT for it’s help with DALL-E images.
In the end, I created three separate brand boards that will not only serve as a starting point for a personal brand revamp, but also show that I have a strong grasp on branding for others. Since taking this course, I have already created brand boards for two of my clients, with two more coming up next month.
Concept 1:
Celestial Pinup Princess in an Art Nouveau Dreamscape
Environment: A starry, twilight landscape with vintage Art Nouveau accents. Think ornate mirrors, draped velvet, and glowing, celestial elements like soft constellations and flowing florals around you.
Style Elements: Pinup-inspired outfits with iridescent sequins, flowing silk, and glitter accents; glamorous makeup inspired by drag performers. Hair in glamorous, vintage curls or soft waves.
Color Palette: Periwinkle, lavender, silver, and soft sage, with sparkling accents.
Artistic Style: Inspired by Alphonse Mucha’s delicate and intricate art style, with graceful, flowing shapes and floral frames.

Concept 2:
Glitter Oasis Rave Enchantment
Environment: A desert oasis that blends the mystical vibes of a Burning Man festival with an ethereal rave atmosphere. Imagine oversized disco balls hanging from palm trees, glowing lights, and soft sand underfoot.
Style Elements: Sexy, skin-baring rave and burlesque outfits with shimmering sequins, pastel glitter, and metallics. Retro-futuristic touches with hints of pinup glam and avant-garde makeup.
Color Palette: Turquoise, light pink, silver, and iridescent shades that reflect the shimmering sands and blue skies.
Artistic Style: Futuristic festival meets retro pinup, incorporating elements of fantasy desert landscapes and reflective, glittery textures.

Concept 3:
Iridescent Neo-Burlesque Dreamland
Environment: A lavish, high-energy stage setting that fuses the glamour of a vintage burlesque theater with futuristic neon lights and mirrored panels.
Style Elements: Sleek, burlesque-inspired lingerie with feather accents, corsets, and sheer fabrics. Bright, dynamic makeup looks inspired by Chappell Roan and classic burlesque glam.
Color Palette: Light purple, periwinkle, soft pink, and electric neon accents, with plenty of sparkle and holographic shine.
Artistic Style: Blending vintage burlesque glamour with a modern neon twist. This look emphasizes drama, self-expression, and radical creativity in a fun, empowering way.

Concept 3: Brand Exploration
I used this branding and applied it to my alter ego, Burlesque dancer, Lady GooGoo. Obviously, ChatGPT couldn’t get the text right (no matter how many times I tried!) but I really appreciated the ways in which it took my direction to create a logo for her. Each image had a slightly different prompt. Here, you can see clearly how AI can serve as an amazing tool for inspiration, but it should never be used for the final product. If I were to move forward with this branding, I would take the main elements of the lashes, sparkles, tassels, and fancy vintage glam fonts to create a more simple logo.
